We all know faith without work is dead! In order for any Dream to come to fruition there has to be work applied. I used to think things like: affirmations, journals, self help seminars, and any other motivational content you may think of, was silly. That was until I became the one who needed it the most. Funny how those tables will always turn. Through my journey I realized Great things don’t just happen, they’re manifested.
Here’s 4 helpful ways on how to do that sh*t:
1. Remove Obstacles
We’ve all heard the saying “one bad apple spoils the bunch” speech at some point in our lives. Well after 33 years I can truly say, its true folks. You are the sum of the 5 people you hang around. So if you’re not satisfied with your life, maybe it’s time do some cleaning; which I’m still doing by the way. However, I realized this extends itself beyond just the people you’re around, this goes for any obstacles that may trip you up. Your environment should help foster your Dreams not shrink them. You miss things when you’re stuck on the defensive end; removing the obstacles helps you stay ahead of the curve. When your path is clear, you’re able to see innovation around every corner.
2. The Genius Zone
I was at a point in my life where honestly, I was just sick and tired of being sick and tired. So, I started looking for ways on how to change that; ways to take back control over my life. It was at this point I started journaling. Ironically, this is where I stumbled on my “genius zone.” The place where your expertise and passion overlap. Doing work that matters, excite, and empowers “YOU”, give birth to the genius, and with that comes feelings of success. I consider journals to be your creative muse, helping to jump start creativity.
3. Create An Action Plan
One of the greatest inventors, Benjamin Franklin once said, “If you fail to plan you are planning to fail.” Now that your creative juices are flowing, you’ll need to find ways on how to make your dreams tangible. This is where you begin to create your action plan. In order to manifest the life you want, you have to be intentional because it helps create the reality. So write your goals down, break them up into small pieces, track your progress, and never loose sight of the big picture; your why.
4. Say Yes
So you’ve removed the obstacles, found your genius zone, created an action plan, now it’s time to Say Yes. This is probably the hardest step to manifestation in my opinion. Especially, if you’re like me, indecisive. How do you know this is the right Dream? How do you know you have the right idea? Well here’s the answer, You won’t! Until you go after it, you’ll be stuck trying to perfect that idea through a fake action plan. Meanwhile, others have failed and failed over and over actually doing what you thought you were doing, manifesting their dreams. There’s 3 things you can’t recover in life: the moment after it’s missed, the word after it’s said, and the time after it’s wasted. Saying yes helps you avoid those things. It also breeds confidence and courage to keep going.
Thoughts to myself like…
Your mind controls what happens daily. If you want to change what happens in your life, you first have to be willing to change your thoughts. Manifesting requires a higher level of thinking. One that empowers, liberates, and energizes you. One that leaves you knowing the only limitations are the ones acknowledged. If a person wants something bad enough, they’ll figure out a way to get it. Your dreams are no different, so manifest that sh*t.
Dream. Travel. Live. Repeat…
